dePaul School - Doing Things Right

After attending the International Dyslexia Association's Annual Conference recently, I am once again filled with pride and reminded of how strong our school is! I toured the Shelton School in Dallas, the largests LD school in the U.S. with over 890 students. What I took away from that tour is that we do everything as well (in some cases I would say better!) as they do - just on a smaller scale.

The importance of an Orton-Gillingham based curriculum, multi-sensory instruction, small classrooms and class size, use of technology, music and art instruction were all emphasized - and we do it all! We may be small in size but we are equal in the quality of education for dyslexic students:)
