After dePaul - School Placement
dePaul is not a forever school—and that’s by design. Our goal is to help students return to mainstream educational settings with the academic tools, confidence, and self-awareness they need to succeed. dePaul students go on to attend a wide range of schools—public, private, and hybrid—with renewed confidence and a strong foundation.

What Happens After dePaul
- Students typically stay 2–4 years, depending on age and need.
- Transition plans are developed in partnership with parents.
- Students leave able to advocate for themselves, read fluently, and engage confidently in class.
- We help with placement and re-entry conversations with public, private, or parochial schools.
Support Includes:
- Exit reports detailing growth, strengths, and recommended supports
- Guidance for IEP/504 meetings if returning to public school
- Communication with new schools (if family requests)
- Alumni follow-up and family support after transition

dePaul gave my child back his joy and gave me back my hope.
