Beyond The Classroom

At dePaul we strive for learning that leaps off the page!

At dePaul, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Our students don’t just read about the world, they step into it.

Through immersive, thoughtfully designed experiences, students connect academic concepts to the real world in ways that are meaningful, memorable, and fun.

Field Trips with Purpose

Where Lessons Come To Life

Every trip is tied to curriculum goals - giving students the chance to see, touch, and experience what they’re learning in class.

From studying ecosystems at Honeymoon Island to exploring economic systems at Enterprise Village, field trips bring academic content to life.

How We Take Learning Further

Whether they’re investigating marine ecosystems or learning how local businesses run, students see that learning can be active, empowering, and all around them.

Creating Community Connections

We partner with local organizations to broaden students' understanding of careers, cultures, and community.

Experiences include mentoring visits, storytelling workshops, and behind-the-scenes tours at places like La Segunda Bakery, Tampa Bay Watch, and the USF Design Studio.

Outdoor Learning Spaces

Our campuses integrate nature into the learning environment, offering freedom to move, think, and explore.

Students conduct science experiments at Weedon Island, collect water samples, and learn through firsthand discovery in natural Florida ecosystems.

Theme Days & Special Events
