Students Win Radiant Peace Awards

Since 1990, The Radiant Peace Education Awards have reached thousands of students across the United States and in other countries. This educational program gives students in grades 1-12 the opportunity to submit essays, art and projects based on a Radiant Peace theme. Out of hundreds of entries, several dePaul students works were voted Outstanding and the students will receive a certificate and a cash award! The dePaul School also receives a cash award! The student's work will be on display at the Radiant Peace Museum, 5601 Central Ave in St. Pete.

Learning Disabilities Conference in Orlando

The Learning Disabilities Association of America is holding their 57th Annual Conference in Orlando February 17-20. This is one of the leading conferences on learning disabilities for parents, educators, adults with learning disabilities and professionals. With more than 150 sessions, there's something for everyone - whether you come as a parent, professional, or an individual with learning disabilities. Dangers of Social Media Presentation March 6, 8-9 am

As part of our Partnering with Parents program, a deputy from the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office will be teaching parents about the dangers children face online and how parents can better protect them and monitor activity. Presentation is free and open to the public.

Open Enrollment Begins March 2, 2020

Enrollment for new students for the 2020-2021 school year will begin on Monday, March 2, 2020. In order to be eligible for enrollment, parent or guardian should attend an Open House and must meet with Head of School or Principal to discuss individual student needs and compatabilty with our program. Student must also complete a shadow day prior to determine eligibility.

Presentation by Dr. Kelsey Lisle to dePaul Staff

Dr. Kelsey Lisle, a clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She spoke to the staff about Working Memory and processing speed deficits in children with dyslexia and the implications these deficits can have in the classroom as well as techniques the teachers could use to help minimize the impact. www.baykidsfl.com

Girls on the Run at dePaul School

Miss Meek has graciously volunteered her time to coach a Girls on the Run branch at the dePaul School! Girls on the Run transforms girls live by helping them increase their self-confidence, develop healthy relationships and feel good about themselves, inside and out.  www.girlsontherun.org
