The dePaul School for Dyslexia SMS Privacy Policy We are committed to protecting your privacy. This section outlines how we handle your mobile information for our SMS communication services.

  • Information Collection: We collect your mobile phone number only when you voluntarily provide it (e.g., during enrollment or via an opt-in form)..
  • Opt-in Records (the date and method by which you gave consent).
  • Message Logs (the history of messages sent and received).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use SMS strictly for school-related purposes, including:

  • Direct Communication between teachers/administrators and families.
  • School Related Event Invitations and RSVP

Frequency: Message frequency varies by case but should be minimal

The Golden Rule: We do not sell, rent, or lease your phone numbers to third parties.

Your information is only shared with:

  • Service Providers: Only the SMS platform used by the school to deliver the messages. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own marketing.

4. Opt-In and Opt-Out Rights

  • Consent: By providing your number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring text messages. Consent is not a condition of enrollment. Parents/Families will be able to opt-in during the initial message by texting “JOIN” to (727) 796-7679
  • Stopping Messages: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text "STOP" to (727)-796-7679. After you send "STOP," we will send one final confirmation message to confirm you have been unsubscribed.
  • Getting Help: Text "HELP" for more information or contact the school office directly.

5. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. The school is not responsible for any charges incurred from receiving or sending texts.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your phone number from unauthorized access. Only authorized school personnel have access to the messaging platform.
