Delta Program

The Delta Program is for students ages 11-14 who are ready for
 the challenge of a middle school curriculum but need additional
 support and a highly structured environment in order to be 
successful. The program is designed for students who are not meeting their academic potential due to learning differences and/or attention deficits. Program features:

  • Provides for remediation of learning differences through specialized teaching methods by experienced teachers
  • Use of specialized curriculum to improve reading and writing
  • Direct, explicit instruction in all subjects
  • Highly structured environment with minimal distractions
  • Small classes
  • Appropriate time given for mastering concepts and completing work
  • Time management and organizational skills taught
  • Classes in accordance with the Sunshine State Standards
  • Subjects include English/Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Teen Topics, Art, P.E. and Study Skills

The goal of the Delta Program is to improve student skills and build self-confidence, increasing the likelihood of future success in High School.

The dePaul School for Dyslexia is a specialized, independent school dedicated to the education of children in 1st-8th grades with dyslexia and related language-based learning difficulties, with the primary goal of enabling these students to achieve academic and personal success.
